I've been staring at this top in the topshop sale many lunchtimes since the January sales passed. It's a white assymmetrical style with a crop top front and a low back, and cut out squares over the front. I was a very happy bunny to discover it had been cut from £15 to £3 last week! It's a size 16, but the style is super oversized, so worth looking at for fellow fats. I actually find that topshop's range of crop tops fit me fairly well, so it shows that it's always worth checking out straight size stores once in a while!

Tee, £3, Topshop sale
Belt, old vintage stock
Jeans, Beth Ditto for Evans, £8
Flats, New Look, £22

  1. Ah I love this outfit the top works so well with the bottoms and the little bit of belt you can see! :D

  2. While I appreciate the fact that you take the time to share your clothing to inspire fellow fatties, I find myself more often than not shaking my head at the clothing choices you make. I understand you want to be free to wear the clothing you choose, but do you ever consider how something fits your body? The shirt/jean combo you have on in this picture is terrible. Even if you don't have one, this outfit gives the illusion of having the spare tire around your lower torso. I wish you would work to inspire other plus size women by doing yourself a service and dressing your body type.

  3. Sod what the Anon above said, this looks great on you. I love reading your blog and seeing how you put together your outfits - they inspire me to try out things that I've always wanted to, but have shied away from for being 'too fat'. Sure, sometimes I get it wrong, but that makes it all the more fun!

  4. You look grand as ever! Thanks for not being afraid of your stomach, by the way. While Anon might be shaking their head no, with anonymous criez for fashion drizzling down anonymous cheeks, I'm shaking my head A BIG FAT YES!

  5. Dear Anon

First of all, why should anyone dress any way but the way they want to? Secondly I think K IS inspiring others. She's sticking two fingers up at the fashion police and they do's and don't's of what a fat girl should wear. I would rather see K's honest sense of styling then someone dressing the way that hides her shape or "accentuates" whatever features are deemed her best.

K - I love the fact that you embrace your stomach, I am gaining confidence to do the same. Its the only thing that holds me back!

  6. Anon's comment made me laugh. I've been lurking here for a while, despite being a "straight" sized 10/12, because I love your looks and the way you put things together. (That green vintage dress from a couple of weeks back was particularly fabulous.) Keep up the good work!
